A selection of new bits to hit my inbox throughout the month…

Bank – Old Reels / A Time For Love [Flight Pattern]

Flight pattern continues to build its impressive catalogue of smooth music with this latest effort from Bank. ‘Old Reels’ has a lovely deep Jazzy feel whilst ‘A Time for love’ may catch the dance floor by surprise with its big drop!

Satl – Forward Thinking EP [Fokuz]

I just can’t give Fokuz enough praise for their consistancy and new talent in the liquid funk side of the scene. Here Satl returns to the label with 4 slices of summer funky DNB. Straight into the record box / USB stick for this one.

Various – Liquid V Club Sessions Vol. 6 [Liquid V]

Bryan Gee obviously knows who to call when putting together a compilation and the latest in the Liquid V club sessions doesnt dissapiont with solid efforts throughout from the likes of Need For Mirrors, Random Movement and Command Strange.

Ed:It – South City EP [Shogun Audio]

A name I’ve had my eye on for a while Ed:it returns to Shogun with in my opinion his best work yet. The South City EP has a nice balance of smooth rolling and Dance floor sounds. Echoes of Break run throughout title track ‘South City’ whilst ‘Babylon Step’ will definitely get the crowd moving.

A Sides – Quart Sector 1 [Eastside]

Part one of A Sides’ new project ‘Quart’ is another great selection from the DNB veteran. A mixture of dark rollers and liquid funk here that should please any proper head.

Need For Mirrors, Digital & Spirit – Acrobats / Cool Vibration [Inneractive]

Personally it takes me about 6 months to make 1 track i’m happy with so how Need For Mirrors bashes out so many is beyond me! Here we have 2 stompers for Spirit’s Inneractive imprint.
